Both Steve and Julie-Ann Parrott, owners of RetireEASE Senior Services, are Certified Senior Advisors. They were the first CSAs in the non-medical industry located in the Midlands. The CSA certification gives the Parrotts advanced knowledge and practical tools to serve seniors at the highest level possible. Because of their deep empathy for seniors, they are equipped to meet the needs of any client.
Our Journey Makes It Personal
Owners Julie-Ann and Steve Parrott never imagined that their personal need for help would become their purpose in life – assisting families in their greatest time of need. In 2000 Julie-Ann’s mother was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease. The slow and agonizing process of watching her lose the ability to do the smallest tasks for herself changed the way they viewed in-home healthcare. Their desire, like so many of you, was for Julie-Ann’s mother to remain in a familiar place surrounded by the people and things that she loved. Because of a local caregiving service in her area, they were able to provide the kind of care Julie-Ann’s mom needed and deserved.
Their desire is to help you do the same.
Steve and Julie-Ann find it gratifying to help seniors achieve their goals. They understand the key health issues most seniors are facing as well as the social and financial factors that are important to aging adults.
Steve is a graduate of Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC and spent many years in healthcare sales, management and executive placement. Steve was raised in Camden, SC and relocated back to the Columbia area in 2000 with his wife and three children to start a senior care company serving the midlands. After starting RetireEASE in 2003, Steve and Julie-Ann have strived to serve seniors with the highest caliber of Companion and Personal caregivers in homes, facilities, hospitals, and retirement communities.
Steve is active in a number of professional groups in the midlands and is a requested speaker on various parent care issues. Steve joined with Dr. Skipper in 2008 to become the co-host of The Parent Care Show on WVOC AM 560AM which airs locally each week on Saturday from 11-12noon.
Steve is a Certified Senior Advisor
Joined by his wife, Julie-Ann, a Certified Senior Advisor, Steve has a partner who shares his same passion for the health and well being of the seniors in their community. Julie-Ann is a talented team builder and trainer gaining knowledge from her corporate experiences while living in Atlanta, Georgia. "Every day it is my mission to build a team that shares the RetireEASE vision and commitment. No other company provides the training or accountability measures that we do, that is why we are second to none", says Julie-Ann. Unexpectedly, Julie-Ann and Steve found themselves in a caregiving situation when her mother was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease. While her health steadily declined ultimately ending in her death, she was able to stay at home because of the caregiving services available in her area. "We understand the stress families face while making life care decisions for their loved ones." As President, Julie-Ann currently oversees the daily office operations and support team for the company.
